Just get to the bow.
I know there are a lot of Hunger Games fans out there, and I am one of them. I read the books before I knew they were a sensation and I was captivated by the way Suzanne Collins could take you swiftly through a whole new world and make the unthinkable seem like the inevitable. The first book was so entrancing (although at the time it seemed a bit awkward to recommend a book about children killing each other) I couldn't believe how she could take such a horrific concept, make it readable and create a world where people could endure such horror yet remain human.
I felt the movie was excellent for being a book adaptation, I felt the vibe, loved the way they depicted the ridiculous Capitol and the people in it and of course, I love Jennifer Lawrence. I am looking forward to meeting the new characters (Helllloooo, Finnick!) in the next movie. Anywho, how did everyone else feel about the books, first movie, and will you be seeing Catching Fire when it comes out November 22?

No need to keep calm about this fun Star Trek inspired kid's t-shirt.
I was born and raised on the Next Generation. My dad was more of an original series kinda guy, but I played Geordie with the banana comb (who remembers those?!) over my eyes, and when someone said robot, I thought of Data, not a hunk of metal. Now, I know when you hear "Klingon" the last thing you think of is being calm, but consider how much restraint it must have taken Worf to not rip everybody's heads off every time they kept getting mind controlled by aliens and tried to kill each other. So, maybe it's not as ironic as it seems.
Available in baby, toddler and youth sizes in a wide variety of colors.

Harry Potter is my favorite fandom. I feel like there is really a whole different world filled with magic and humor and struggle and love that I will someday find and be part of. I hope my kids will soon feel the same way, that there is something magical waiting for them. But for now, we settle for a little butterbeer and curling up with a good book for the hundredth time and transporting ourselves to Hogwarts for a little while. But it's nice to think it could be waiting just around the corner.

To us, raising geeklings isn't about forcing our interests on them, it's about raising kids who are confident and not afraid to do their own thing and not worry about what is cool or popular?
